Dear BIS Families,
As we approach the final weeks of what has been an exceptional school year, our campus continues to be filled with excitement, celebration, and pride.
This week, we were delighted to host our annual Art Exhibition, showcasing the incredible creativity and talent of our students. The artwork on display was truly inspiring and reflected not only the artistic abilities of our students but also the dedication and expertise of our wonderful art teachers. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped celebrate the remarkable achievements of our young artists.
Please keep an eye on your inbox for upcoming invitations to our Year 13 Graduation and Year 6 Moving Up Ceremony on June 12 from 4-9 pm. These are significant milestones in the lives of our students, and we look forward to celebrating them together. This year marks a particularly special occasion, as it will be the first time BIS hosts the Year 6 Moving Up Ceremony in an external venue, making the event even more memorable for our students and families.
Following graduation, our secondary students will also enjoy a well-deserved Prom, providing an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments with friends and teachers after the graduation ceremony and dinner.
We are also eagerly anticipating Experience Week, one of the highlights of our school year. This exciting culminating event offers students valuable opportunities for learning, adventure, and community building. If you have not yet done so, please reserve your child’s place as soon as possible to ensure they can participate in this memorable experience.
On Friday, we celebrated the House that earned the most points this year with a well-deserved Pizza and Ice Cream Party. Congratulations to GONDOR for demonstrating outstanding teamwork, commitment, and school spirit throughout the year. Their collective effort and determination earned them the top position, and we are incredibly proud of their achievement. Well done!
Another exciting first for BIS will take place on June 17th, when we host our inaugural EYFS Graduation Ceremony. Our youngest learners are thrilled to be moving on to Year 1 and what they proudly call the “big school.” They have been practicing diligently and are looking forward to celebrating this important milestone with their families.
Please also note that June 18th will be our final Parent-Teacher Conference Day for the academic year. Appointment slots will be opening soon, and we encourage all families to take advantage of this opportunity to meet with teachers and discuss your child’s progress and achievements.
As always, thank you for your continued partnership, support, and commitment to our school community. Together, we have made this year one of growth, achievement, and memorable experiences for our students.
Warm regards,
Michelle James
