Dear BIS Families,
As we approach the holiday, I would like to wish all of our students, families, and staff a happy, restful, and relaxing break. I hope you find time to recharge, enjoy time with loved ones, and reflect on what has been a truly wonderful year at BIS.
This week has been filled with memorable moments, and one of the highlights was our EYFS Graduation Ceremony. Our youngest learners were absolutely amazing. Their group performances were delightful, and their individual performances beautifully demonstrated just how much they have grown over the past year. They sang, played the piano, recited poetry, and proudly read to us all with confidence and enthusiasm.
The celebration concluded with a special party shared with family members, making it a truly meaningful occasion. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our graduates. They are ready for Year 1, and their teachers, Ms. Shan and Mr. Dillan, with Ms. Lenka and Ms. Renee, deserve tremendous recognition for the care, dedication, and expertise they have shown throughout the year.
Next week is Experience Week, and we have many exciting activities planned for the students who will remain on campus. Our teachers have been preparing a week filled with exploration, creativity, and fun. Students will enjoy inspirational films paired with themed activities, create “how-to” guides, and have opportunities to explore new interests and areas of learning. We look forward to seeing their curiosity and creativity shine.
This week also marked the launch of our BIS Arts and Design Academy taster sessions. Under the guidance of Mr. Dean and Mr. Dilip, students worked collaboratively to develop, create, and pitch their ideas. The sessions were a tremendous success and provided students with an authentic, real-world application of the skills they are developing in the classroom. The Academy will offer our secondary students an exciting space to pursue personal interests, foster creativity, and develop innovative thinking. We could not be more excited for its official launch in August.
This week also provided an important opportunity to celebrate student progress through our Parent-Teacher Conferences. Thank you to all parents who met with their child’s teacher. We were delighted to share the many successes, achievements, and areas of growth that students have experienced throughout this academic year.
Next week, families will also receive our Summer Learning Activity Sheets. These assignments will provide students with opportunities to continue developing their skills in English, Mathematics, and Science before returning to school in August.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support throughout the year. Together, we have celebrated remarkable achievements and created countless opportunities for our students to grow and thrive.
Have a wonderful holiday, and as always, thank you for being part of the BIS community.
Warm regards,
Michelle James
