Dear BIS Families,
As we move into the final weeks of the school year, there is so much to celebrate across our BIS community!
This past week’s Battle of the Books was truly an amazing event, and we could not be more proud of our students’ achievement. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and dedication to reading were inspiring to see. Most importantly, we celebrate the incredible number of books our students have read and the love of learning they continue to develop. A heartfelt thank you to our staff and families who supported this wonderful experience.
We are also excited to share that Experience Week trips have now been presented to students. Reservation forms have been sent home and are due by Wednesday, May 20. Please be sure to return your child’s form by the deadline to ensure their place in this exciting culminating end-of-year experience with classmates. These trips are always a highlight of the school year and create lasting memories for our students.
Looking ahead, we are preparing for one of our most special celebrations of the year. Graduation for our Year 13 students will take place on June 12, and we will also celebrate our Year 6 students during their Moving Up Ceremony at that time. Additional information will be sent home this coming week. We are very much looking forward to celebrating these important milestones with our students and their families.
Finally, please join us on Wednesday, May 27 for the next installment of the BIS Coffee Chat Series. During this session, our Guidance Counselor, Ms. Wency, will discuss how we help children navigate and manage big feelings. This promises to be an informative and supportive conversation for families, and we hope to see many of you there.
As always, thank you for your continued partnership and support. The final weeks of school are filled with excitement, celebration, and meaningful moments, and we look forward to enjoying them together as a community.
Warm regards,
Michelle James
