Dear BIS Families,
It has been a wonderful week here at BIS, filled with energy, creativity, and a growing sense of excitement as we prepare for our upcoming International Day. The planning and student engagement have been truly fantastic, and we cannot wait to welcome you to campus on April 25th to celebrate the rich diversity of our community together. It promises to be a special day for all.
Looking ahead to next week, we are pleased to offer a series of transition meetings for parents whose children are moving into key stages of their BIS journey:
Reception to Year 1 – Monday 2 pm
Year 1 to Year 2 – Monday 8:45 am
Year 6 to Year 7 – Tuesday 2 pm
Year 7 and above – Wednesday 2 pm
These sessions are designed to provide clarity, reassurance, and insight into what your child can expect as they grow within our school. They are also an opportunity to ask questions and strengthen our home-school partnership.
In addition, our team will be hosting an informational meeting introducing our new Arts and Design Academy. This is an exciting development for BIS, and we look forward to sharing how this program will expand opportunities for creativity, innovation, and student voice. Our UK University partnership will be announced at this time. We highly encourage all upper primary and secondary families to attend on Wednesday at 2 pm.
We will also hold our next Coffee Chat on Wednesday, April 15th, and I warmly encourage you to join us. These informal gatherings are a valuable way to connect, share ideas, and continue building our strong community together.
Coffee Chat – Wednesday
It is imperative that after school hours, parents are supervising their children if on campus. Teachers and staff have additional responsibilities they must attend to after dismissal.
We are happy for moms and dads to be on campus for chats but children must be supervised and are not permitted to run, climb and play on materials as this is a safety issue.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership. We look forward to seeing many of you next week and celebrating together on International Day.
Warm regards,
Michelle James
