News - BIS Ends Academic Year with Principal's Heartwarming Remarks

Dear parents and students,

Time flies and another academic year has come to an end. On June 21st, BIS held an assembly in the MPR room to bid farewell to the academic year. The event featured performances by the school’s Strings and Jazz bands, and Principal Mark Evans presented the last batch of Cambridge certification certificates to students of all grades. In this article, we would like to share some heartwarming remarks from Principal Mark.

I can’t believe we made it through this year! It feels like we have been through a never-ending game of dodgeball with COVID, but thankfully, we have dodged everything thrown at us. To say it has been a challenging year would be an understatement, but you all have shown resilience and perseverance throughout it all. We have masked up, sanitised, and socially distanced more than any school in Guangzhou. As we bid farewell to this academic year, I hope you all walk away with new skills like mastering online classes, cooking and cleaning. These skills will definitely come in handy in life, even when we are not in the depths of a pandemic.

Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and dedication. Remember, we are all a learning community, and we will continue to dodge our way through anything that comes our way.
