As the leaves turn golden and the air grows crisp, autumn invites us to slow down and turn inward. This seasonal shift can sometimes bring feelings of tiredness or sadness . But fear not! This newsletter is filled with warm, practical tips to help both students and parents navigate the season with resilience and joy.

For Students: Your Autumn Wellness Toolkit

  • Find Your Rhythm: With daylight fading earlier, try to keep a stable routine for sleep, meals, and rest. This regularity helps your body adapt to the changing season and protects your internal balance .
  • Move Your Body: Physical activity is a natural mood-booster! It stimulates the production of endorphins, the “feel-good” hormones. You don’t need an intense workout; a brisk walk, some stretching, or a fun sport can make a big difference .
  • Connect and Create: Don’t isolate yourself. Make time to connect with friends and family, as these relationships are a powerful support for your emotional state . You could also try creative, hands-on activities, like crafting a unique “autumn forest小屋” (autumn forest cottage) with natural materials, which can be a deeply relaxing and治愈 (healing) experience .

For Parents: Being a Supportive Companion

  • Listen with Empathy: When your child talks, try to practice “倾听共情” (listening with empathy). Offer your full attention without immediate judgment or solutions. This makes them feel truly seen and heard and is key to avoiding conflict and building trust .
  • Foster a “Stress-Reduced” Home: Be mindful of bringing work stress home. A relaxed and supportive home environment is the best foundation for your child to build resilience. Remember, your own emotional stability provides your child with powerful自信心和安全感 (self-confidence and a sense of security) .
  • Be an “同行者” (Companion): Shift from being a director of your child’s life to a supportive同行者 (companion). This means walking alongside them, understanding their challenges, and growing together, which is the most profound way to support their mental health .

Let’s work together to make this autumn a season of warmth, connection, and gentle growth for every family.
