Dear BIS Families,

It has been another wonderful week at BIS, and I would like to take a moment to celebrate some of the fantastic learning and community engagement taking place across the school.

We are incredibly proud of our EYFS students and the amazing work they demonstrated through their Passion Projects. It was truly inspiring to see our youngest learners confidently sharing their ideas and discoveries. We were delighted to welcome parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles who joined us to watch the presentations. Your presence made the experience even more special for the children and reinforced the strong partnership we value between home and school.

Our assemblies this term are also placing a strong spotlight on literacy. We are celebrating students who are making excellent progress in their reading through Raz Kids and recognizing those who have earned outstanding point totals. Developing a love of reading is one of the most powerful gifts we can give our students, and it is wonderful to see so many of them embracing this challenge. Battle of the Books is starting as well!

A reminder to all families that every Friday is House Day at BIS. Students should wear their house shirts to help build unity, pride, and team spirit within their houses. These shared traditions help strengthen our school culture and give students a sense of belonging.

Next week we look forward to one of our most meaningful events of the year: Student Led Conferences on Friday, March 20. Please note that this is a non-school day for regular classes. Instead, parents will attend the conference with their child at the specific appointment time scheduled with teachers. These conferences are a wonderful opportunity for students to reflect on their learning and proudly share their progress with you. We are very excited to welcome you to campus for this special event.

We would also like to invite parents to our next BIS Coffee Chat on Wednesday, March 18. The topic will be Helping Children Cope with Academic Pressure. This session will explore practical ways families can support children during challenging academic periods while encouraging confidence, resilience, and a healthy balance.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We look forward to seeing many of you at next week’s events.
Warm regards,

Michelle James
