Dear BIS Families,

What a wonderful first week we have had at Britannia International School! As we begin the 2026–2027 academic year, I want to take a moment to share how pleased and proud we are of the positive start our students and teachers have made.

Across our campus, we are seeing positive classroom cultures, engaged students, and teachers focused on quality teaching and learning. Our students are establishing routines, reconnecting with friends, getting to know their teachers, and settling into the rhythms of school. It has been wonderful to walk through our classrooms and see learning happening with purpose, enthusiasm, and care.

We are also delighted to welcome so many new faces to the BIS community. To our new families, students, and staff; welcome! We are thrilled that you have chosen to become part of our BIS family, and we look forward to getting to know each of you throughout the year.

Building Our BIS Community
Our first PTA meeting was a wonderful opportunity to begin building connections and working together as a community. We are grateful to the parents who joined us and look forward to a year filled with opportunities for families to become actively involved in the life of our school.

There is already plenty to look forward to! Upcoming events will include our annual BIS Movie Night and our next BIS Coffee Chat, where we can come together, connect, and explore topics that support our children and families.

A calendar of upcoming events will be sent through Student Services, so please keep an eye out for it. We also encourage families to check your child’s backpack regularly and to stay connected through ClassDojo, where teachers will share important updates, reminders and messages throughout the year.

A Daily Reminder: Read!
One simple but very important expectation for every BIS student is to have a book with them and read every day. Reading is one of the most powerful ways we can support vocabulary development, comprehension, critical thinking, imagination and lifelong learning. Please help us make daily reading a consistent part of your child’s routine.

We are so pleased and honored that you have entrusted us with your children. We recognize the tremendous responsibility that comes with that trust and we do not take it lightly. Every day, our goal is to ensure that our students feel safe, valued, challenged, supported and inspired to become the very best versions of themselves.

The first week is only the beginning. We are excited about the year ahead and all that we will accomplish together as a BIS community.
