Exploring Family Love in Chinese Class

Written by Ms. Paris, October 2026

In our Chinese lessons, children have been exploring different family roles. We discussed each family member, the tasks they take on at home and how they look after one another, guiding the little ones to cherish and be grateful for their family.
Students expressed their love through creative handcrafts. They painted “Best Dad” medals with assorted paints and art tools. For Mum, they crafted sweet necklaces using pipe cleaners and colourful straws. When learning about grandparents, children practised tracing lines to draw longevity peaches as thoughtful gifts.

Combining Chinese language learning with hands-on creation, these activities help children build related vocabulary. Most importantly, they experience how to convey gratitude and warm love for the people in their families.

PE: Learning, Teamwork and Athetlics Day Preparations

Written by Ms. Vicky, October 2026

Over the past two months, our EYFS and Primary students have been developing their movement skills, coordination and teamwork through fun and engaging PE lessons.

In Primary, we began with basketball and football, helping students build essential skills while learning to cooperate and support one another. More recently, our focus has shifted to sprinting and relay races—two of the seven events planned for Athetics Day in November.

Our youngest learners in EYFS have been introduced to team sports through simple, playful activities. In recent weeks, they have also started practising the recreational games they will enjoy on their own Athetlics Day.

Athetlics Day is a special occasion for our school community, and preparing for it is an important part of the learning journey. By giving students time to practise, we help them build confidence, understand each activity and feel ready to take part.

We look forward to celebrating their effort, teamwork and progress with our school community this November!

More stories, discoveries and moments of learning await in the weeks ahead.
