Dear BIS Families,
What a wonderful week it has been at BIS! Our community continues to shine through connection, compassion, and collaboration.
We were thrilled to host our Grandparents’ Tea, which welcomed over 50 proud grandparents to campus. It was a heartwarming morning filled with smiles, songs, and precious moments shared between generations. Our grandmothers especially loved the thoughtful cards from students, a small token of appreciation for the love and wisdom they share.
Another highlight of the week was our Charity Disco, a completely student-led event organized by our students. The energy was incredible as students danced, played games, and raised funds to support a young man living with muscular dystrophy. We are so proud of their empathy, leadership, and enthusiasm. The event was such a success that we’re excited to announce another disco next week!
Our House system has officially launched, and students are buzzing with excitement as they prepare for Sports Day in November. House pride is already shining through during practice sessions and team activities.
We also enjoyed a fun-filled Character Dress-Up Day in celebration of our love for reading, and gathered together for our October Birthday Cake at lunch to celebrate our BIS students!
Looking ahead, we have several exciting initiatives underway. Student surveys will be distributed soon so that we can continue to listen to and elevate student voices.
We’re also introducing a Student Canteen Committee, allowing our learners to share feedback and ideas to improve their dining experience.
Finally, we are delighted to announce that parents will soon begin receiving a Parent-Led Newsletter, graciously put together by two of our wonderful BIS moms. This will be a great way to stay informed and connected from a parent’s perspective.
Thank you, as always, for your support and partnership in making BIS such a warm, vibrant community.
Warm regards,
Michelle James
